PremierFront8_8_8.aspxTrey Alexander's Quantum Rock Course Featured in the August Issue of Premier Guitar!!!

This month’s lesson builds on Trey’s rhythm part from our July issue. “Hell Struggle” features sweep picking, pentatonic lines and even a little alternate picking. Displaying influences such as Dream Theater and Yngwie Malmsteen, take your time working through the riffs here until you digest the feel. Listen to them, as well as Eric Johnson, Guthrie Govan and Greg Howe.

Trey Alexander's Quantum Rock Course Featured in the July Issue of Premier Guitar!!!

PremierFront7_7_7.aspxThis month’s rock lesson features two rhythm variations on the Trey Alexander Band's tune “Hell Struggle,” which showcases the bands effective melding of two musical genres: chunky, metal-inspired riffs and voicings with a funky, Stevie Wonder-inspired synchopated rhythm. In this tune, the rhythm guitar doubles the bass part rhythmically, adding flavor through the use of double-stops and power chords. Throughout the piece, imagine locking in with the drummer and bassist to create an extra-tight groove for the soloist.

Trey's New Quantum Rock Interactive CD-ROM Course

Quatnum RockQuantum Rock is not for the weak of heart, nor is the course suitable for beginner or early intermediate players (check out Trey’s beginner rock course below). While the concepts are explained and demonstrated very clearly, you will spend serious time in the shed getting a grip on these techniques, skills and knowledge. Fear not though, Quantum Rock is a hands-on playing course – no tedious theory, boring exercises or theoretical dribble. You will be rockin’ out from the very first lesson, and will soon develop a raging addiction for your Quantum rock practice sessions.
